It’s almost here, Christmas is just 15, yes 15, days away. We all know how hard it is to find those ideal gifts for your family and friends with their varying tastes and so to help, over the next few weeks, different members of the mydeco.com team will be sharing their Christmas wishlists. We’re an eclectic bunch and we’re hoping that our Christmas picks give you that bit of inspiration that you need to get old Auntie Matilda or your quirky cousin Simon that perfect gift.
We’re also taking it one step further; we’re running a Personal Shopper service where you can send us some details about who you’re buying for and we’ll send some recommendations, picked specifically by the mydeco.com team. We’re hoping to take a bit of the pain out of Christmas shopping and allow you to actually enjoy the holiday season(it is supposed to be a holiday after all!)
Today Louise, our Senior Accounts Manager, lets us know the things that she’s been dying to get this year.
Jo Davies’ Speak vase with two
I love how Jo’s vases have an abundance of character, even through such simplicity. I always see faces in places and this series of vases look very much like hooded people to me!
Rockett St George Light Bulb
Lighting is so very important in how we feel, how we relax and how we enjoy a space and good lighting is so often taken for granted. These light bulbs create a soft, luminescent light that will set the perfect mood. It may be a gift for him, but it is something that will be appreciated by all.
Miffy’s cute face says it all. It is a wonder how a cross and two black circles for eyes can say so much!
Tori Murphy Chevy cushion, blossom
I love this cushion almost as much as I love Tori Murphy! So refined and unafraid of the use of black. Few designers can do it as well as Tori.
Bunnies just wanna have fun! Who knew they were such competent swimmers?
Elli Popp Tawny Owl side plate
Tawit Tawoo! Wonderful illustrative crockery that makes me coo for more. I will certainly be ordering one of these to eat my cheese and biscuits off…
I work in Social Media at mydeco.com and graduated from Goldsmiths College, University of London. I have a keen eye for good design and love me some Swedish minimalist design. Read more posts by Theo.
