It will now receive some much needed TLC with a gorgeous makeover from GROHE, the champions of professional and luxurious bathroom fittings.

mydeco.com and GROHE wanted to give save someone from their daily battle with their bathroom: war zones of broken pipes, cracked tiles, rusting taps and 70s time warps should never be endured. Yuck!

  1. Haha that really is an ugly bathroom! Those Grohe folk have really got their work cut out. Has the work on Britain’s Ugliest Bathroom been done yet?

Hi Nic, it is quite ugly isn’t it?! I’m not sure how far into the makeover GROHE is but I expect it’s nearly completed because the winner was announced several weeks ago now. It would be interesting to see the new bathroom and compare Before and After – I’ll see if we can showcase it on the blog for you.

Please note – the Grohe customer services is appauling if you have a problem. Product was faulty, leak into kitchen – they replaced the faulty product free of charge, but are not answering emails about the £130 redecorating charge. And when you phone, 10 mins on hold then cut off. Then same again. Very upset customer.

It’s nice but it looks like all the bathrooms look in all the style mags – modern, glossy, white greys & neutrals. I’m desperate to see something with a bit of character and warmth. Also my bathroom is tiny and I don’t have room for a stand alone bath, two basins etc. I get fed up of seeing bathrooms that are basically quite big. I’m finding it really hard to find inspiration that doesn’t all have the same mood as each other
