The snows of January have finally melted – now we move into a (hopefully warmer) February, but we’re still a while away from breaking out the sandals and throwing open all of our windows. Until the spring warmth hits, I’m making my house a truly cosy place to live. Here are a few of my favourite winter warmers.

As much as I love warm browns, dusky reds and creams for colder times, at the moment I’m following the Scandi trend, so my picks are from a decidedly cooler palette. Colder colours in cosy materials can be just as warming as their brighter counterparts!

For me, the living room is where I spend most of my time in winter. The most important ingredients for a cosy living room are your soft furnishings – cushions and throws can make a huge difference.

You can also get the warm and fuzzy feeling by investing in something cute – I absolutely love this hedgehog tea cosy.
