We recently headed down to Chelsea College of Art to see the wonderful results of a project that a group of 2nd year textiles students have been working on with Made.com. Top students at the college have created collaborative work to help women living with HIV in through a South Africa based not-for-profit organisation, MonkeyBiz. The outstanding pieces were judged by a panel of top design guru’s, with four eventual winning collections being sold exclusively through Made.com.
The panel included; Lucia van der Post (authour & columist), Lina Hellgren (H&M), Nina Campbell (interior designer), Harriet Vine (Tatty Devine), Alison Cork (presenter & journalist) and Chloé Macintosh (Made.com).
The night was packed full of exciting work from the students and South African beaders. Mydeco was there to catch up with the judges and see the excitement ensue.
