In an ideal world, I would have left the office and nipped to the Stockholm Design Festival last week.  As luck would have it, I was instead too busy sourcing inspirational content for you to peruse on the mydeco blog.

(Round of grateful applause…)

We are, however, lucky enough to have some fantastic Scandinavian designers in our exclusive design boutique, and seeing as Scandi design is the next big thing, what better time to tell you about them?

Ulrika Jarl’s sculpted pendant lights are sweeping the design world with their tactile textures and futuristic designs:

Hanna Melin, meanwhile, is spicing up our weekly shop with her funky collection of retro bags, perfect for groceries but stylish enough for everyday. Her old-school cassette badge is also one of my favourites.

Last but not least, contemporary designer Lina Meier has designed a range of products based on the ultimate expression of modern consumerism: the barcode. The BarDeco range includes pendant lights and coat hangers.

Whispers around the office indicate there are more Scandi designers to come, so watch this space.
