Here at mydeco.com, there’s nothing we love more than championing British design. So we jumped at the chance to be involved in the upcoming Best of Britannia show, which is taking place next week, from the 5th to the 7th of October at the Farmiloe building in Clerkenwell.

We’ve teamed up with Mr & Mrs Smith, specialists in boutique hotels – boutique is our thing so we could think of no better partner! Together we’ve created a boutique hotel-style bedroom for our stand at the show, featuring a collection of some of our favourite British-designed pieces. We want to show you how easy it is to create a luxury boutique feel in your home, using wallpaper, furniture and accessories for a one-of-a-kind design. Friday is trade day, but come and join us on Saturday or Sunday – we’re giving our readers 50% off tickets – simply enter ‘mydeco2012‘ at the checkout on their tickets page.

Our bedroom includes pieces from some great British design names, including Squint Limited, Conran, Savoir Beds, Linwood Upholstery, Tori Murphy and Jo Davies. We want to share them with you, so we’re giving you the chance to get your hands on some of the furniture and accessories on show – we’re hosting a silent auction in aid of Movember, a great charity supporting prostate cancer awareness. Take a look at the list of products for sale here, and if you love them as much as we do simply email bid@smithhotels.com with the item you’ve chosen, the amount you want to bid and your phone number before the 22nd of October. It’s a closed auction – the highest, earliest bid will win.

A lovely Squint Limited chandelier – would you like to get your hands on it?

We hope to see you there!

Quirky accessories are my favourite and I love nothing more than finding something bold and beautiful to make a room really stand out! Read more posts by .
