Despite the threat of heavy snow storms over London we witnessed a flurry of keen visitors within the first hour of the Home Show opening today. At 4pm there were still drifts of visitors and a great atmosphere; no New Year ennui here.
What’s evident is the appetite for newness – we all want to see something fresh, something that will excite and update. So what is the newness that’s caught our collective eye today?
Louise, Senior Accounts Manager at mydeco.com, tells us about the products that caught her attention today:
1. HAM mugs – The see-saw rabbit design can’t help but bring a smile to your cup of tea… Looks like one happy bunny had a few too many mince pies!
2. The bike hangers for your hallway – what a great idea! You reclaim your hall AND are encouraged to keep your New Year fitness regime going.
3. The two – stem pendant light from Holloways of Ludlow, our friendly neighbours. This decision has nothing to do with them plying us with minstrels and champagne…
As the first day drew to a close, Michelle, our Creative & Commercial Director, was busy judging the ‘Home London Best Stand’ award… Watch this space tomorrow for the results!
I work in Social Media at mydeco.com and graduated from Goldsmiths College, University of London. I have a keen eye for good design and love me some Swedish minimalist design. Read more posts by Theo.

Love those bike hangers! I don’t even have a bike, yet I think they’d look awesome on a wall.
