The patchwork aficionados at Squint are teaming up with Sir Terence Conran to work their magic on some of his classic designs, starting with the Oswald sofa.

The new range of upholstery, which launches during Design Week, will be based on copies of Victorian deck chair stripe fabric. Each piece will be a montage of different stripes and colours, according to Squint founder Lisa Whatmough. There will also be the odd one-off antique item.

The collaboration came about after Sir Terence and his wife Vicki commissioned some Squint pieces for their hotel, The Boundary, which opened in Shoreditch in January.

It’s still very early days so unfortunately there aren’t even any sneak peak images. But in case you’d forgotten, here’s a reminder of Conran’s classic Oswald sofa and Squint’s pretty patchwork Chesterfield. You can imagine how good this partnership is going to be.
