Well, rather disappointingly the weather so far this summer has been on the chilly (and wet) side here in the UK. One minute it is glorious sunshine and the next minute the Aga is on full blast for some well needed heat! It is indeed Flaming July so I am not going to be discouraged from enjoying elements of blissful summer time living, and that is why I am completely inspired by these amazing outside fireplaces.
Fires are not just for winter, they are a well needed component of your garden design – especially with the unpredictable British climate.
What could be more beautiful than sitting in your gorgeous, albeit chilly, garden in the evening with a roaring fire blazing. This addition to your garden would also give a great excuse to extend ‘al fresco’ living throughout the autumnal months and bright winter days. Sold?

Nikki,
I love alfresco dining and wish the weather would allow more time for it. Outdoor fireplaces – What a fabulous idea! Much more stylish than having the usual patio heaters!

Love the first fireplace design, although I can’t help but feel that you’re right about our weather! I think if we built one it might not get much use!
