As my last blog told you, London Design Festival is literally knocking on the capital’s doors and mydeco boutique designers are right there, rapping their knuckles against their handmade, unique and original product. In fact, tomorrow kicks off the style-packed event and I just cannot wait!
So much so, that I couldn’t resist treating the lifestyle and home accessories show Top Drawer as a sneaky preview of LDF – if you play the video below you’ll see my fave bits.
Top Drawer, at Kensington Olympia in London, is renowned for showcasing the best accessories, gifts and upcoming seasonal trends.
Sounds perfect for mydeco boutique, right?
This year, we visited the ever colourful cable & cotton at Top Drawer, and shimmied amongst their array of handmade lights from Thailand. Our autumn/winter trendsetters Lorna Syson Textiles (as seen in mydeco’s Keepin’ it Cool a/w trend, above) and Plant & Moss (featured in mydeco’s Masculine Chic[k] a/w trend, below) were also at the show.
Watch our video to see Lorna’s new Blue Tit designs (love them sooo much) and Christmas ideas, how James Moss creates turned wood stool legs, and Bryn showing us his favourite lighting colour-way from the cable & cotton collection:
Top Drawer was all about great trend setting this year: Our friends Trend Bible worked with the design-led event and showcased their trends for autumn, Christmas and even for spring/summer 2012 in beautifully curated displays.
See their trend predictions and their Top Drawer pics here on the mydeco blog on Monday!
