Using the mydeco Forum
Hey, welcome to the Forum everyone!
Do you need help with a design or decorating dilemma? The mydeco Forum is the place to get expert advice, ask questions and share ideas, however big or small!
To get started, simply click into the topic where you would like to post your question, for example, 'Before and After', and then click on the link that looks like this >
Easy! But what if you want to spice up your post a little?
Well don't forget to post photos of your home - we all want to see where you live! It's actually really easy to upload images into your posts. When you start writing a post, click on the > image button, then click on 'Browse' and choose the image you want from your computer. Then just click 'Upload image', then 'OK' and voila! - your lovely picture will appear in your post.
To ensure your pictures will show up, you need to first 'compress' them for web use, otherwise they will be too big. This can be easily done with the picture editing tool that comes with your computer system. If you need help doing this, please message me and I will be more than happy to help you.
Don't forget, you must be signed in to post, and like all good guests, please read our ‘etiquette rules’ first.
Just ask me if you want to know more!
Happy posting,
Cleberry

hi sbrunette,
not sure why that's happening. I use FF and have had no trouble. If it persists, mail me at my profile inbox.
thanks,

No problem, seems to be fine in IE. I will have a fiddle tomorrow and delete cookies and see if that makes it work :)
I just wondered, is there anyway for me to change my username as i don't really want to delete my account but fancied something more me as a username :) x

no, once you've created it, it's branded like a mydeco tattoo for life!
but if it's any colsolation, i like 'sbrunette' , so I wouldn't worry too much about it!

Cleberry - I need help in compressing photos as mine hasnt appeared, help please! Felicious

Hi Felicious.
Cleberry doesn't work for mydeco anymore. It might help if you try opening your photos in a photo editing program first and resize them so they are smaller. If you still have problems try sending a help message via the feedback tab. Hopefully one of the tech team will see it.
Good luck.

Hi Louise,
Why don't you search through the Living Rooms here on mydeco (click on Design Inspiration) and see which ones catch your eye. Perhaps then you will have a better idea of how you would like to 'warm up' your living room.
Hopefully some other community members will also see your post and have other ideas for you.
Good luck,
Sylvia

Guys! I'm new here and I really want to learn how can i create a whole house 3D not just a room! If anyone knows pleasee contact me and tell me how to do this! Thanks :D

In the 3D planner you can drag more room plans onto your workspace and join each onto the rooms already there ... BUT ... be careful - once you stop dragging and let go it will be positioned and then to remove it is very tedious!
Good luck

My first post!
How do i add news topics in my profile, Doesn't seem to be anything there are am i missing something.
-
Report post
You will find the news topics fill up automatically - as people respond to forum posts, rate or comment on your rooms. moodboards or photos and as you start to follow people you can see their activity in your news feed too.
You have three options a he top right of you news feed - personal (ie your activity only); others' activity or all activity. - switching these won't delete the news items just hide some.
Hope that helps
Cathy
