Current Vacancies

Operations Manager

Permanent, full-time role. Salary negotiable depending upon experience.

mydeco is currently looking for an outstanding Operations Manager, who will have a huge impact right from the start. This is a great opportunity to understand the way the business works, and potentially move into other areas of the business in the future.

    Your key responsibilities would include:

  • Manage and improve core operational processes and improve data quality
  • Work with the technology team to automate as much as possible
  • Establish core metrics to monitor the success of these processes

We’re looking for a graduate level candidate (ideally with an engineering/computer science/technology background) with proven end-to-end project management experience. You’ll need good knowledge of data sources and formats and extraction languages, and should have had exposure to basic accounting standards.

If you’re a technically strong candidate with excellent communication skills, then please send a CV and covering letter to jobs@mydeco.com.

HR Manager

12 month maternity cover, 2-3 days per week (flexible). Salary negotiable depending upon experience.

We’re looking for a strong HR Manager with 3-5 years experience, preferably in an online or technical business. Ideally you will also be used to working as a sole HR professional and be flexible to manage all aspects of the role. Although this is a maternity cover, it is absolutely not a babysitting role. The foundations have been built and now there is huge scope for development within this really exciting business.

Your key areas of responsibility would cover:

  • Leading the process for the successful recruitment, appointment and induction of new staff. Driving the functional managers to deliver what is required and manage relationships with recruitment agencies.
  • Increasingly, building development programmes for all internal staff in line with organisational and individual requirements.
  • Ensuring that salaries and benefits are regularly reviewed and benchmarked. Investigate options for longer-term incentive programmes for UK and international staff and agencies.
  • Developing and maintaining appropriate systems and processes for performance management and evaluation, HR input into payroll, disciplinary, maternity, sickness etc, and supporting managers in the implementation of the above.

You’ll need to be a graduate level candidate with full or part CIPD membership (or equivalent professional qualification) and have excellent communication and organisational skills.

If you’re passionate about what HR can achieve within a growing business, then please send a CV and covering letter to jobs@mydeco.com.

How to Apply

Update your CV - we don't need to know your marital status or shoe size, but we would like to know your education details (with grades!) and your employment history - where did you work, when and what did you achieve while you were there?

Send us an email to jobs@mydeco.com - attach your CV and tell us which job you're applying for (if you're applying on spec, tell us what kind of job you're looking for). Also tell us why you want to work at mydeco, and how you think you could add value to our team. Finally, let us know about an achievement that you're really proud of - what did you do personally and how did you make a difference?

What happens next?

You'll get an automatic response initially just to let you know that we've received your email. This will be followed by proper contact as soon as we've read your application and decided if we can take it further.

There are generally three stages to the interview process. Firstly, our HR Manager will give you a call, run through the job in a bit more detail and give you the chance to ask any burning questions. Then we'll bring you in to meet the hiring manager, and possibly a couple of other people in the team. We might ask you to prepare a presentation or talk us through your portfolio(depending on the role you're applying for). If you can win over the hiring team, then we'll ask you to come in and meet the Chief Exec and more of the team (we like you to meet as many of us as possible so that you know what you'll be letting yourself in for).

We'll keep in touch with you at every stage, with as much feedback as we can. If you're successful at the interviews, it's down to you to decide if you want us as much as we want you...

Looking forward to hearing from you!
