What is your design inspiration? Magazines, friends, family, travels...or just random ideas within your head?

Magazine interviews with interesting people when there is a shot of them in their home. Seeing real people's homes inspires me much more then "interiors" magazines.

Or Films - like the bookshelves in the Micheal Haneke film Hidden - I've not partially recreated it in my flat or Julie Delie's flat in Before Sun Set - i love it! So boho and non-try-hard intellectual.

magazines help a lot but my inspiration mostly comes from somewhere completely random, like the content of a
bin that looks a little like a chair, and then I'm on my way, sketching on napkins on the bus or the back of my hand.
Somethimes my fellow design students help with inspiration, we all know each other and what we like. we often exchange articles and images that we think the other will like.
