so where do you want me to begin? I already blogged about B&Q and their appalling service! But they are one in a long list of poorly performing companies who fail to put the customer first, and cannot perform the simplest tasks with courtesy and efficiency. Argos have spent 6 months now delivering a wardrobe piece by piece to my brother. Ikea have had 4 attempts to deliver the wrong items to my long suffering friend. Broadband providers!! ARGH- NTL (Virgin) kept me on the phone for 3 hours trying to sort a relatively simple issue- it wasn't the fault of the poor non English speaking person on the end of the line who couldn't understand I had a Mac not a PC!!! Orange are shocking! i had to pretend to be my boyfriend on the phone to them as he got so frustrated, for an hour! most recently a bar in brighton where it clearly stated that service was optional. The surly waitress had barely cracked a smile let alone charming service, so I gave her £20 and expected the full amount back....

but the change came minus the optional tip. So i asked her where it was and she said it was policy to take the tip, i asked for it back as it was meant to be discretionary and she refused! So i took the reciept to the till and asked for my money back (the tip). The manager conceded but did not apologise, and I left with the waitress throwing me evils! Service charges are discretionary even when it says they are included- it is the customers right to refuse to pay a service charge. I always tip for great food and service btw especially if i know it is going to the server direct.

I have recently experienced the worse customer service ever by a furniture supplier in london!

Being in a very luxurious location in London - walton street, just off Fulham Road, you would think that the customer service would be excede excellence, right? umm, think again!! After spending several thousands of pounds and the supplier having the order in writting to the tiniet detail, theynot once but on 4 occassions get the order wrong!!

First they lost the sofa fabric which was menat to be sent to Milan (our courier cannot find tghe address, oh and the address of the company you are using to make yr sofa does not exist... complete lie! ) then after 1 month of chasing a miracle is performed and the fabric has reached its destination!
Oh and dont forget the sexist comments which were made to me by the showroom manager after I went in to replace the lamps and shades which were delivered incorrectly, oh then there were the £900 chairs which had the incorrect finish!

so the next time you want to purchase any furniture from andrew Martin, ask for Andrew and dont deal with anyone else as Andrew was my saviour and if it weren't for him I probably would be in a mental institution by now, as I was on the brink of having a nervous breakdown with all the bad service I received from all the others!
