double sided tape tends to be clear/transparent as it can't be seen between whatever the 2 things are it is attached, and often you don't want to see it anyway.

Durr, Just realised what I was asking. I had just ordered double-sided adhesive tape for a job at the same time as asking my question. Who says women can multi task?!

My real question is does anyone know where I can buy coloured self adhesive tape like the stuff used on the trim on the top of Laura Ashley lampshades.It may be fabric or it may be a really good quality paper, I'm not sure.(Must go and investigate next time I'm in town). At the moment I make my own bias strips as trim around firm lampshades but I'm looking for a simpler method. Thanks
