In 1966, the Ballon armchair was presented to the international furniture show in Cologne. It created the event of the exhibition marked the beginning of the international career of Eero Aarnio, giving birth to a whole range of his fiberglass furniture.
The wheelchair Ballon has been designed from a simple forms - the ball. By cutting and removing a party and fixing it on one foot, Eero Aarnio obtains a remarkable achievement - an armchair with a revolutionary form perfectly.
It gave birth to one of the most remarkable chairs the history of furniture of the 20th century.
