Whilst grumpily waiting for the Fab new 3D software to be er... Fabulous, so I can get on with some room designing, I've been watching more late night TV. Mostly 30 Rock to cheer myself up but rather fitting then that I caught the hilarious if cringey Grumpy Guide to Design on Comedy Central last night too.  It is airing again late tonight Monday 10th May on British TV and is a must see or tape if you haven't already.  http://www.comedycentral.co.uk/tv-guide I daresay it will be repeated if you miss it. Of course the deal is they get to be grumpy and dismissive of their chosen topic.  You will cringe at their sharp analysis of those of us who are in to design but it is worth the self-concious pain if only to see Laurence Llewellyn Bowen viciously slate amongst other things Modernism, Post Modernism and er...Kelly Hoppen. His description of her nude palettes and particularly her paint colours is hilarious beige rage and nothing to do with the fact that he has an awesome range of vibrant and risky paint shades out himself right now. This was filmed back in, I think, 2007 but perhaps it was a twinkle in his mischevious eye even then? http://property.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/property/article6987762.ece Phillipe Starck comes in for a drubbing too . Germaine Greer is very funny on everything. It also gives a great rundown on architecture for idiots.  Whilst waiting to do your 3D rooms and, in terms of a crash course or Bluffers guide to Design, you could do far worse.
