Princess Cirrus held a breakfast meeting with her parents, King and Queen Cirrus.
Finding and flying to Cloud Nine was an opportunistic move but only if they could build the Castle of their dreams.
Looking out at the vast expanse of fluffy down the project looked daunting. There was nothing there. No bricks, no grass, no running water and no electricity.
King and Queen Cirrus looked glum and enquiring. How would Princess Cirrus solve the problems?
'We first have to consult with the best architects in the universe,' said Princess Cirrus. I will communicate with the World Wide Wind and request consultations with three outstanding architects.
The architect from Cumulus was the first to arrive. He had an enormous carriage cloud and was obviously out to impress the royality he had been summoned to serve.
Architect Cumulus strode over the down, measuring, writing and generally taking no notice of the conversation of his potential clients.
'I am your man, 'said Architect Cumulus, 'I have built the highest, widest buildings on the moon and I have the most revered reputation in the entire universe. '
Architect Stratus followed two days after Architect Cumulus had gone to instruct his underlings. Architect Stratus waved his long bony hands at the dome of fluffiness that was Cloud Nine and sat in the make shift camp site until the very next day, talking with Princess Cirrus and her parents about their vision for the future Castle.
Princess Cirrus was exhausted when Architect Nimbus arrived. For two days and one night Princess Cirrus had done nothing but think, plan and talk and she was now beyond thought, planning or even talking. Architect Nimbus looked carefully at the proposed site.
Had they considered the angle of the sun and the moon in relation to the windows of the rooms? Where did they envisage building the garden? What style of Castle did they want? Modern, contemporary or traditional? Princess Cirrus nodded wearily to everything.
Before moving to Cloud Nine she had been very clear about what she wanted. Now she only wanted peace and no decision making. Architect Nimbus disappeared from view and Princess Cirrus did not follow.
She had asked each Architect to produce an outline sketch of their ideas and costs for their services.
For four weeks of days and nights Princess Cirrus pestered the World Wide Wind for information on the anticipated arrival of the quotes but the Wind only whispered she was important to him and her call was in a queue.
