The Princess and The Castle - Options - Part 3

Princess Cirrus was a persistent person.

The World Wide Wind said she was important to him and Princess Cirrus wanted to guage if the World Wide Wind was truthful.  Long into the night she called the World Wide Wind.

The World Wide Wind played a wily game of options.  Systematically, Princess Cirrus went through each option carefully, never losing patience, determined that one of the options would reveal the answers to her questions.  Really it was a game of mathematics. Very cunning.

Option one, lead to five options and the first of those options lead to three options and the first of those options lead to two options. The unknown was how many options the World Wide Wind had stored for the game. A spread sheet was needed to process the information.

And the World Wide Wind spread sheet was born and grew. Unexpectedly, one option lead to real information. The option suggested that, that particular office had all available World Wide Wind staff working ceaselessly with no-one available to speak for at least three weeks.  Callers were invited to create their own fog which would be followed by everyone in the universe and would lead all fonts of knowledge straight back to the sender.

Princess Cirrus thought this was a splendid idea and called for the help of King and Queen Cirrus to send as much fog as they could muster. And so a supercell storm grew.

After the fog had cleared, answers came back thick and fast. Architect Cumulus had utmost apologies and a large bill. Architect Stratus said he needed more time and would come back with figures and a sketch plan shortly. Architect Nimbus had gone beyond the call of duty, and not only sent sketches and a resume of costs but had also informed the Universe Authorities of the plan to start building.

The Universe Authorities indicated that Cloud Nine came within the 'white belt' area where no new building was allowed under rule 96million or any circumstances.

Princess Cirrus sighed and stepped from the security of the camp site and her parents. Her head dropped to her chest in deep contemplation then rose to contemplate the neighbouring lights.

A crazy, joy riding, star trail blazed past at stupendous speed and Princess Cirrus smiled at such thoughtless, youthful recklessness. Princess Cirrus laughed out loud. Had she not been trail blazing herself? Had she not beaten the mathematical equations set by the World Wide Wind? Had she not sent fog to the entire universe? Had she not drawn answers of sorts from the most outstanding Architects in existance?

Tomorrow's fog would be bigger, better and longer and The Castle would be built. Princess Cirrus added determination to persistance. The equation would rival the whispering, mathematical cunning of the smooth talking World Wide Wind.
