My favourite item of furniture is...
One that incorporates striking sculptural beauty with pure function.
For me, the aesthetics of any product are highly important. It is very difficult to change an initial reaction, and so every effort should be made to produce a visual treat!
At it's core however, furniture is always a functional product.
