There are so many fabulous crafts in danger of becoming extinct. Get yourself off to all your local country fairs,craft exhibitions, college exhibitions etc this summer. My local college has fabulous creative skills courses, including soft furnishings, passementerie,quilting,carpentry,blacksmithing etc.It's brilliant to see.Keep our crafts alive and support them as much as you can or we may lose them. You'll be amazed at the talent and skill in these places and you will probably end up buying something you will not find anywhere else. I know you can get good bargains on the high street but it is nice to treat yourself to something unique.

Eco Interiors 7 members

Does Eco have to be ugly? And where’s all the facts to all this sustainable way of living? I’m hoping this group can be a resourceful collection of eco products + materials, discussion on eco design without the HYPE. Cos lets face it the words eco and sustainable have become more of an advertising hard sell, but where’s the technical stuff out there? If you know great websites that give us info of the products and the products look great please post them. Or any seminars out their to learn the basics? As a designer I would like to use more eco and enviro friendly products because I feel we have a responsibility.
