  • About Veeveenatyisy

I'm a busy mum (aren't we all) of three under nine, and I also support and care for my husband who's been ill with ME for three years.
My house comes with my job so I can't do everything I'd like to but I tend to stamp my personality on it through pictures, accessories and our own bits of furniture.
I love the sea and nature in general so colour choice is influenced by these.

We've moved!

I'd like to say, "oh happy day!" but it did get a bit stressful. Still, that's behind us now, and the kitchen, at least, is box free, though I'm still struggling to find a home for everything - especially after having such a beautiful, good sized kitchen in our previous home.

We're loving the area but I do miss not being able to see the sea out of my bedroom window. Having the loft boarded out has been brilliant and for the first time ever we've got an organised loft with only essential things stored rather than all the stuff we'd accumulated after having 3 children. And I've been able to exercise my creativity, revamping a very naff beaureau (can't think whether that's the right spelling - brain fried!) to use as a home office. When I get the chance I'll post a picture.

The very small bedroom is working out ok and will be even better once my daughter has grasped the concept of picking up clothes from the floor!!! Speaking of children I'd better get them to bed - we had a BBQ with friends who live close by today, and they're a bit tired. And we've also been able to enjoy the help of family in all the unpacking. It's been great to have their support, which is really why we moved in the first place. Ironically, Darren has experienced another leap forward with his health and we are actually considering the possiblity of his return to work within a year, but it will still be brillaint to have family close by during this transition stage.

What do you think?

Glad you are closer to family now and that hubby is doing better!
