Hollywood interiors
Emilie always had a soft spot for Hollywood interiors with those semi-circular sofa’s and round coffee tables. Those kind of settings are rare to find; probably for the reason that they are only to apply in large scaled livings. We’ve been looking for photo’s of semi-circular settings from the fifties and succeeded via Donzella's website, a New York based on-line shop in fifties furniture. There we’ve found a semi-circular sofa that was designed by Paul Lazlo. In the fifties he was a famous architect and interior designer for Hollywood moviestars like Gary Grant, Billy Wilder, Debbie Reynolds and Ronald Reagan. His style was simple and elegant and his goal was to create harmonious interiors.
The merits of a semi-circular sofa are the amount of people that can sit by each other and the opportunity for having a conversation without bending over in order to see the other person at the end of sofa. The final selling point of such a sofa is its form that can define a rectangular space.
