Just in case anyone is vaguely interested - My new favourite song at the moment is Built To Last by Melee - I just LOVE it. It's got a really summer sound to it, in places it reminds me of a Beach Boys sound. Check it out on youtube. Jan

is it not just a bit too summer-ish for you, maggs...? if you fancy a double-expresso to go with that sugar, try 'Going To A Town', by Rufus Wainwright... talk about dramatic(in a good way)(i think)but still has beautiful melody , voice and instrument(like Melee) ;)

I do like that song but I think I've had a bit of overkill, it's played a lot on radio 2 (sad FM my kids call it!).I find it a bit maudling too. It is dramatic but in a sad way. The other one I've just checked out on youtube is Sam Sparro, Black and Gold. I saw him on TV performing at Glastonbury, he sang so well live, I was really impressed with the richness of his voice. Out of all possible talents i would LOVE to be able to sing. Unfortunately I sound like Jo Pasquale on extra helium!!
