I do not follow trends in design - my Victorian cottage needs to offer a comfortable warm interior whilst retaining period features and its beautiful stone exterior. There is still much work to do but it will ultimately be mostly glass, chrome and black leather, with a few old pieces of furniture and softer accent accessories.
Pride of place goes to an oak bureau that used to belong to my grandmother and which now exactly fits an alcove ... until I finish renovating the fireplace!
