Inspired by the works of Charles and Ray Eames, Arne Jacobsen is considered one of the most influential furniture designers of the last century. The highly sculptured Ægget 'Egg Chair' was originally designed in 1957 for the Royal SAS Hotel in Copenhagen. The Egg chair is the result of Jacobsen's search for a curved fluid form which required minimum padding and was lightweight without losing the comfort. Our high quality version of the Egg chair has a padded synthetic shell on a star-shaped aluminium reclining and swivel base, & complies with all UK fire regulations Available in either red cashmere wool, or full aniline leather red, black, white, cocolate or ivory leather, usually in stock in red & black.
