Bred in New Zealand in the 1950's, this stunning self-fertile variety has taken the world by storm and is now deservedly the most popular apple sold in the UK supermarkets today. It consistently produces bountiful crops of aromatic, juicy-sweet fruits. Planted in a warm sunny aspect these trees will thrive and give bumper crops from the second full growing season onwards continuing to do so for upwards of 40 years, if well cared for. Pick the fruit in late September/early October and store them in a cool but frost free place where they will keep for 3–4 months.
