Go Modern Gaya Wall Hung Flueless…

A very eyecatching piece the Gaya contemporary fire was designed by Roderick Vos (who also designs for Moooi & Alessi amongst others) for Safretti. The Gaya can be hung as a single fire, as part of a pair, or as part of a spectacular composition. There is a bright red metal cover, (rather reminiscent of a Dali) for the fire available as a finishing touch. Made from black, lacquered cast iron & weighing 12kg the Gaya can be hung anywhere, the walls do not have to be specifically prepared, as long as they can support the weight. The properties of Bio Ethanol mean that although the (real) flame is both sizeable & warming the heat does not transfer much to the surrounding metal - making this a very safe fire around children & pets (as tested by Go Modern!). Fuelled by environmentally friendly Bio Ethanol the wonderful Safretti fires require no flue, special ventilation, gas or electricity. The flame is very clean, with no smell, or soot produced. Fuel is bought in 2L bottles @£6 per bottle, & each 2L refill lasts several hours - depending on the height of the flame. Refilling is easy, & does not require the fire to be moved.
