Crafted from solid shorea, stained to a warm Havana colour, with an island feel. Shiny nitrocellulose varnish. Elegantly shaped legs. 2 drawers on the front with metal rings. Shorea is an exotic wood from Southeast Asia, and notably Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia. It is known as "Indonesian mahogany" in Java, where it is often compared to mahogany for its lovely reddish brown colour. Once cut, the wood must dry for several weeks to evacuate the moisture. Each piece is then hand crafted by several artisans.
