Tiffany-Style Glass Fire Screen
Rating |
£159.95
"Favrile" iridescent glass was patented in 1894 by Louis Comfort Tiffany, the unique iridescent effect obtained by mixing together different colours of glass while hot. Created using the same technique – and in Tiffany"s unmistakable style – this decorative triptych fire screen hides an untidy fireplace in winter and makes a colourful focal point in spring and summer. Hand-painted in soft coral pink with deeper shades of pink, brown, grey and turquoise, the screen really benefits from subtle backlighting to accentuate the stunning colours and glass textures. Middle panel measures 34" x 20", side panels are 30" x 10". Overall width 40"
