Designed as an exercise in clarifying form, Eero Saarinen s Tulip chair set new standards for modern design and became an immediate classic after its 1956 introduction. The shell is made from moulded fibreglass with a reinforced plastic bonded finish, and sits on a base of coated aluminium. The seat has a removable upholstered cushion, shown here covered in Divina 2 in colour 61 652. The price displayed is for this fabric option.
