Where do you go to feel inspired?
I love travelling and seeing different places, cities and cultures. Last year I went to Australia and Pakistan. This year I have been spending a lot of time in the English countryside and gardening. I love seeing all the different colours change with the seasons, and am inspired by garden designer Arne Maynard, whose work is amazing!
Your collection is made up of strong yet varied prints, what draws you to such subjects?
I don't follow a trend or calender, my collection mostly come from commissions which are really varied. I have just finished working with The Giffords Circus producing wallpapers, fabrics and cushions(now on sell at My deco) and I am now collaborating with the Knitwear designer Melanie Porter. I love working with different people or companies, seeing the end design, thats what makes it exciting!
What is the most exciting commission that you have ever had?
Ooh thats a hard question, I have found them all exciting but in different ways working with the Giffords Circus was super exciting and be part of the build up to the show, but I also love the challenge of working with different spaces and trying to create something that fits with that particular space like creating wallpaper for Sam Branston's poker room.
What is your favourite stage of the design process?
Seeing the samples after creating the design although its nerve racking too.
How would you like to see your business grow?
I am currently producing a new range of wallpapers, based on my work so far, which are easy to use and a collection that aims to enhance all sorts of spaces all over the world.
