What's the ethos behind your brand?Fabulous design at high street prices. We strive to find unusual, unique and sometimes quirky items that we would love to put in our own home and are not commonly available elsewhere.
Where do you find inspiration for new collections?I think the home accessory market tends to reflect fashion and catwalk trends; so I look at print styles, shapes and textures found in fashion pages to see what might be translated to the home accessory world. I also follow a number of home design blogs that feature up and coming furniture and accessory designers. These provide inspiration for me when I am looking to source new products.
Who's your favourite designer and why?Vivienne Westwood, as I've always loved colour and wackiness and her style epitomises both.
What is your most prized possession?Am I allowed to call my children possessions?! If not, it would have to be my Sarah Jane Szikora limited edition 'eyeball' print. I'd also love to own a Sarah Graham print so I'm currently aiming to acquire one of those!
Who's home would you most like to look inside?Helena Bonham Carter/Tim Burton's house. I read somewhere that they live next door to each other rather than with each other as they have such different tastes. I suspect her house is very eclectic and I imagine she has a lot of interesting objects, whilst I imagine his to be very dark like something out of the sleepy hollow film.
What do you most like about mydeco and which product from the site would you love to have in your own home?I like the fact that mydeco showcases a lot of unusual products and caters for a variety of budgets. I mostly covet the Victorian Chaise by Squint. I discovered Squint many, many years ago and have been drooling over their products ever since!
