Sneak peek into Elle Macpherson's home

Elle MacPherson's house in Londn is up for sale
Elle goes wild for leopard print and red in her sitting room..

Got a bit of a crush on Elle Macpherson? We understand; she always looks so damn good. And now we can see if her London home is just as stunning as her estate agents have leaked photos to the press. This is the kind of thing that gets the mydeco team very excited.

You'd think the Australian supermodel would be able to sell her house easily but after many price reductions that may not be the case. Fellow blondie Sienna Miller has put her house up for sale too. While we're waiting to see if she has to slash a whopping £2 million off the asking price like Elle, take a sneaky peek round Sienna's home interior too.

Back to the grand tour of Elle's Victorian style house. It's seven storey's and was built in the 1850s and boasts six bedrooms and five bathrooms. In addition, it has a 36ft long kitchen which leads onto a large dining room (perfect for those dinner parties).

Having bought the house back in November 2006 (the peak of the housing market), she is now trying to flog it but, like so many other homeowners, she's struggling to find a buyer.

Ot originally went on the market last summer for a cool £9.5million but after failing to receive any offers in that region, the mother-of-two dropped the price to £8.95million in January. She has just reduced it further, down to £7.5million which is a huge 21% reduction on the original price.

Elle's sleek minimalist kitchen

The epitome of glamour herself, Macpherson has spent tens of thousands of pounds restoring several of the grade two property's original features. The process saw her redesigning it to her own style. Judging from the pictures, we've gathered that Elle opts for a classy and expensive approach to interior design. Staying away from an overly eccentric colour scheme, the model sticks to pure whites accompanied with earthy colours. This really is impeccable, understated luxury.

The pièce de resistance in Elle's beautiful home is the ultra modern kitchen which boasts stainless steel accessories and bang-on-trend lacquered surfaces. You could match Elle’s style with a sleek silver fridge available at B&Q. If your budget doesn't extend to a complete kitchen revamp, add a touch of shine with Heal’s white lacquered vase.

We also love the bricked tiling in the bathroom that has connotations of the London underground, (without the grubbiness) and works beautifully against the simplicity of the pure white bath. See our blog for a picture of Elle's bathroom and steal her style with Wallpaper Direct's convincing brick wallpaper and a free standing bath from the Big Bathroom Shop.

It is in the living room that Macpherson experiments the most. The bold red carpet really warms up the place and compliments the abstract art on the wall. It looks like she's at the fore of the safari trend too with the leopard print arm chair. With all the controlled luxury elsewhere, we commend Elle for embracing her wild side! mydeco's buyer's guide to safari chic has ten of the best safari-esque designs for your home.
