Sneak peek into Sienna Miller's house

Sienna Miller's house in Londn is up for sale
The huge Turkish bath in Sienna's basement is eclectic

British boho chick Sienna Miller’s London pad will no longer be privy to her much-publicised and photographed disastrous love trysts as she has recently put it on the property market for £995,000. See how she kitted out her pad and how you can steal her style.

Always wanted to have a look into Sienna Miller's home? We knew you were as nosy as us... Knowing her boho style, it isn't a surprise that the four floors of her converted Victorian house in Paddington, London, are filled with eclectic furniture and celebrity memorabilia.

What we didn't expect her 2,095 sq ft house to boast is a Turkish bath in the basement! The 5 foot deep bath, installed before the starlet lived there, is covered in bright earthen–toned Moroccan tiles.

However, it is never used by eco-conscious Miller, who hasn’t filled it with water in a bid to conserve energy. Instead, sumptuous cushions flood the alcove seating areas that surround this focal point.

Her basement also seems to be an escapist retreat from the rest of the house as it has little decorative continuity with the upper floors.

Sienna's dining area is understated in white

The layout of her open–plan sky–lit kitchen and living room above the basement is an uncomfortable maze of poles, chairs and awkward structural design. Walls jut out at various angles and the large dark grey supporting poles and beams are imposing against the stark neutrality of the colour scheme. Bright colour on this floor, and the top two floors, is minimal (unlike Miller’s colourful love life...) although the floor to ceiling red velvet curtains provides some relief here.

She does have an interesting collection of Moroccan lanterns hanging at various heights throughout the first floor as well as South African tribal masks fixed to the bare or white painted walls.

Recreate the North African theme with an antique effect brass and glass Moroccan iron lantern (£119) from Maroque. This beautiful lantern is decorated with bright beads and the brass has been beaten to create its aged look. This summer, outdoor lanterns are proving to be extremely popular for balmy evenings in the garden. Graham and Green has a white metal lantern (£82) with a Moroccan hand worked star design which would be perfect for lighting up garden paths and creating a soft, romantic ambience.

An original pencil sketch by Andy Warhol’s muse Edie Sedgwick, whom Miller portrayed in one of her few well known films, Factory Girl, accompanies the masks on the walls. mydeco can recommend framing an Edie Sedgwick 1966 fine art poster print by Andy Warhol (£19.99) which can be bought from Amazon.

More befitting of Sienna Miller’s public fashion image are the unusual and quirky eye–catching antlers which crown the top of the carved pillar that's opposite her trestle dining table with brushed metal top. Like her house, with its array of mismatched chairs, furniture and eclectic ornaments, the antlers seem to be mismatched too – against her purported animal rights protestations.

Only last week she joined a host of other famous names to boycott Nobu’s Michelin–starred sushi restaurant chain in protest against the endangered bluefin tuna on their menu. Yet she has no quibbles about an elegant stag dying so that she can drape its antlers around her home. Who are we to judge?

Be animal friendly and replace these antlers with a set of ornate aluminium deer and stag heads with antlers,(£95)from Graham and Green. The collection has also replicated the head of a gazelle and all three designs are available in various sizes.

Steal Sienna’s style further by copying her visual harem of comfortable large sofa cushions and floor cushions. This can be accomplished easily with the large Rajasthani embroidered patchwork floor cushion (£40) from Karma Babes and antique sari floor cushions (£45.95), also available from Karma Babes. If you want a broader range of colour than the earth tones that the Brit socialite seems to favour, there is a selection of bright Moroccan leather pouffes (£115) from Graham and Green. Missoni Home have also created a gorgeous multicoloured Kew round floor cushion (£320) which is available at Amara.

As for her varied collection of chairs and seating upstairs, have a look at the traditional striped upholstered library chair (£695) with wooden surround and elm dining chair (£109) with rattan seat pad, both of which are also avaialable at Graham and Green.

In contrast to the constant media attention which makes Sienna stand out in the public eye, her white wall clock blends in with the walls and is as surreptitious as she may wish to be herself. The Mr White Station wall clock (£44) at Dotmaison is very similar, as is the slightly cheaper white large numbers wall clock (£27) from Debenhams.

The British starlet bought this converted Victorian house back in 2007 and is reportedly blaming the relentless paparazzi attention on her doorstep for wanting to move away. I may be more inclined to blame the difficult and cramped structural layout of the ground floor and the two pokey top floors, especially as the public and the paparazzi will follow her wherever she lives for a sneaky peek at her oft–copied style. Sorry Sienna, there’s no escape!
