Going green can feel a bit like an image overhaul. How do you know where do you start? Here eco guru and TV presenter Oliver Heath gives us some tips by picking his favourite products from online store, EcoCentric. Who knew that going green could be so sexy.

1. Eco carbs

Bamboo grows quickly and doesn’t need pesticides, which is why it remains such a popular eco product. Heath rates these bamboo salad bowls (£39.95) with a high-gloss finish: 'I love the vibrancy and colour they add to my table top – now my cooking has something to live up to!'

  • Mokimoe organic cushion

    2. Sitting pretty

Stylish handmade eco cushions inspired by balmy summer days, strawberry picking and picnics in bluebell woods. Oliver Says 'These Mokimoe Organic Cushions (£69) add a wonderful and much needed accent colour to liven up any room.'

  • Tord Boontje Figure of 8 vase

    3. Bottle vase

‘The Tord Boontje Figure of 8 sculptural glass vases (£35) are both beautiful and recycled, made by artisans in Guatemala,’ says Heath. Get them in green or white.

  • Fair trade organic cotton duvet set

    4. Indian dreams

Made in India, this fair trade organic cotton duvet set (£150) is completely natural – the mocha set is coloured with vegetable dyes only. ‘The organic fibres are longer and softer than conventional cotton, which contains pesticide residues,’ says Heath. ‘Not only that but they are fair trade – so my conscience gets a good night’s sleep too.’

  • Candela eco lights - set of 4

    5. Candela-lit dinner

Set the mood for a dinner party without the mess of regular candles with the earth-friendly Candela eco lights (£79.99 for four). ‘They bring a soft, warm candle like glow to the dinner table and have recyclable batteries so they can be used over and over again,’ Heath enthuses.

  • Delight Shade

    6. Butterfly glow

The Delight lamp shade (£65) is made from pure wool felt and is specifically designed for low energy bulbs. ‘The light seeps delightfully (hence the name) through the cut out butterfly shapes – very sweet and they bring a little magic to my hallway,’ Heath explains.

  • Energy saving globe light bulb

    7. A bright idea

‘The easiest way to save money and cut down on your carbon footprint is with an energy saving globe light bulb,’ Heath insists. ‘Each bulb will save you up to £90 compared to a conventional tungsten bulb – so it’s got to make sense.’ The opaque glass of these globe light bulbs (£11.99) hide the ugly 'curly pigs tail' of other energy saving bulbs.

  • Monochrome dinner set

    8. Fine dining

This monochrome dinner set (£95) looks brilliantly smart and the best part is it’s even dishwasher safe. ‘The recycled glass is made from old coca-cola bottles,’ explains Heath. ‘I love the range of colours and they look even of better when you mix them.’

  • Window Garden Plants

    9. Window garden

‘You don’t have to live in the countryside or even have a garden to do a little grow your own,’ Heath argues. ‘A pocket garden (£4.99) can sit on your window sill or office desk and bring a little greenery to the most unexpected areas of your life.’ Get growing.

  • Bamboo towels

    10. Pandas know best

Bamboo fibre towels (£3) are super soft and 30% more absorbent than conventional cotton. 'Bamboo is set to become the eco material of the future,’ says Heath.
