Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney add to quilt

A patchwork quilt including contributions from some of the world's biggest designers will go on show to the public in London this month.

From April 10th until 15th, the quilt will be exhibited between 1pm and 4pm at the Londonewcastle Project Space on Redchurch Street in the capital.

Including designs from lighting expert Tom Dixon, architect RMJM and home furnishings retailer Liberty among many others, it measures 70 metres in length.

Named A Little Piece of Mind, it was crafted by New York artist Julie Floersch and also features sections created by the likes of Stella McCartney, Giles Deacon, Jean Paul Gaultier and Marc Jacobs.

Following the exhibition, the quilt will then be shown off in New York and in Glasgow over the coming months, before going under the hammer at a charity auction in June.

Proceeds raised by the sale of the one-of-a-kind quilt will be split equally between housing charity Shelter in London and Glasgow and The Bowery Mission in New York, which also fights homelessness.
