An interior designer has revealed how he transformed a drab dressing room into a space fit to house Carrie Fisher.
John Gidding told Elle Decor that he only had one conversation with the actress and had to rely on that and some photos of her home in order to figure out her personal style.
However, he managed to change her Wishful Drinking dressing room on Broadway into something lively, eclectic and lighthearted, just like Fisher herself.
'Carrie said that she liked to display things on walls, anything from objets trouves to pictures and paintings,' Mr Gidding commented.
So he used plenty of colour, paintings, throws and whimsical accessories to add a cosy feel, as well as separating the room in order to create different zones for different functions.
The designer revealed he couldn't resist adding a nod to her Star Wars past with a Princess Leia printed cushion - but luckily, Fisher didn't mind a bit and revealed that it made her smile.
